Wilderness First Aid Refresher Course

Keep your wilderness medicine skills sharp with this hands-on, one-day refresher course designed for past Wilderness First Aid students.

This 8-hour Adventure Medics Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Refresher Course reviews essential medical and trauma care skills for remote environments through practical, scenario-based training. The course is recommended for anyone who has completed a full 16-hour WFA course with Adventure Medics within the past two years.

The day begins with a review of key concepts from the traditional WFA curriculum, followed by hands-on practice in critical skills including:

• Bleeding control
• Splinting and immobilization
• Patient assessment
• Rescue organization and response

In the second half of the course, students participate in an immersive field exercise designed to reinforce classroom learning and build confidence in real-world wilderness emergency scenarios.

This refresher is ideal for outdoor professionals, guides, volunteers, and adventurers who want to maintain confidence and readiness in the backcountry.
